Manipulative therapies are mainly concerned with the structure of the body.
Chiropractic
is a profession which specialises in the diagnosis, treatment
and overall management of conditions which are due to mechanical
dysfunction of the joints and their effects on the nervous system.
Osteopaths
focus on the musculo-skeletal system (the bones, joints, muscles
ligaments and connective tissue) and the way this interrelates
with the body as a whole.
As well as Chiropractors and Osteopaths, there are bone setters and advanced remedial massage therapists who study joint manipulation.
